Skill inheritance for subagents differs

I’ve been exploring LangChain’s Deep Agents. Their docs say the general-purpose subagent inherits the parent’s skills, while custom subagents can be isolated.

I’ve been using Claude’s Agent SDK primarily, and its implementation is slightly different. A subagent gets skills from AgentDefinition.skills. In practice, however, it can still use unlisted skills through the Skill tool.

OpenAI has no inheritance model. Skills are capabilities, so each agent needs its own; they are not passed down. I have not tested this, but the documentation seems reliable.
